Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät just won the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu and is going to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. I was rooting for them, as this is punk as fuck :) It gives me a little faith in Finnish people that they actually voted this band through.

So, the only thing left to do is the mastering, which is scheduled for next week with Mr. Mika Jussila. Matias Kupiainen did a fucking great job with the mix, it sounds really big, just as I wanted it to sound.

And we have a date

Well, the first one at least. The second Cain's Offering album will come out in Japan on 29th of April. I'll let you know the release date for the rest of the world as soon as I can.

Just received a first mixed version of one of the more "epic" songs on the album, and holy shit does this sound big. I don't think anything on the first album comes even close :)

Still going strong

Last weekend we jumped back on the horse and did 2 acoustic shows with Timo, it was nice to get out for a while and not stress about the album all the time. Today I'll take my beloved Marjukka and lay down the acoustic guitars for the album, and after that all that is missing is some guitar solos and unison parts with Mr. Johansson. I've also heard the first orchestration demos, and damn is this album going to have some epic stuff :)

The mixing starts tomorrow, I can feel excitement in the air :)

Friday night fever...

...or something like that. No drinking, no partying, just work work work. It's funny to look at all the drunken people going out to party while I'm having a cigarette at the balcony. Would like to have a drink myself, but no-can-do, have to get this shit together for next week so we can start the mixing process. On a positive note, this is starting to sound pretty damn good even if I say so myself :)

...excluding mine. Had a wonderful time with Petri and Antti, these guys went so above and beyond the call of duty it's unreal. They did a wonderful job and I'm in their debt.
