Actually, this is not only true for country music. Almost all commercial pop/rock/rap/whatever music uses not only the same chords over and over again, but also the same song structure, and even the same melody!! You want to know how to compose a hit? Just play the chords Am F C G on a basic 4/4 beat and sing a generic melody using as main notes (on top of each of those chords) E F E D. You can add a melody using fifths all the time (like C and G. It works on all of these chords !) if you want it to sound like generic american pop/rock. Tadaaaaam!! You composed a hit. You are a genius!
