It's saturday

So, it's saturday and I'm neither working nor drinking, and for the record wasn't yesterday either. It might be that the world ends in 2012 after all, as if this is not the end of days I don't know what is. But if the four horsemen really come I still hope they'll bring beer :)

  1. Well, Metallica are touring in Mexico right now hehehe.

Btw Jani, can I ask you something about your guitar playing tech, in private or here, wherever you want?

    1. You can ask, I can promise to give you an answer that's worth jackshit, as I know nothing about the subject at hand :)

  2. Hahaha, great :D ! So...

Well, I'm not an expert, and neither know many things about this subject, but I'd like to know what you did since you were very young (mean exercises, repeats, self study, etc), and which scales did/do you use, and how you did, your favorite scales and all that. Also, any tips? (About sweeping also? Can't get them clean yet!)

Last time I saw you (maaany years ago) I took the questions about your guitar tech to home, until now. About 6 years if I'm not wrong. Glad to do now :)!

    Thanks for your time!

    1. That's quite an extensive question... Tell you what: since a lot of people have asked and continue to ask me about all this stuff I'll try and write a post about this stuff here in my blog at some point. Don't expect it today or tomorrow, as this is a pretty vast subject.

  3. Dear Jani, along the years you have been my favorite guitarist. There are lost of awesome guitarists out there but you were the first one I've known and I never doubted your awesomeness. The first metal song I've ever known was ''Replica'' and as you are the one to compose it, (and My Selene too, which was my other favorite) I guess there's no reason to not say what I'm going to. You know the feeling of admiring a song I guess, like being unable to listen anything else than it. I experienced that feeling for every single song in the album Gather the Faithful. Therefore, whatever you do, you're being massively awesome and I would advice you to quit smoking for the world needs a man like you to live longer, but you wouldn't give a fuck naturely, so I won't. But, seriously, just keep being awesome. I'm waiting for your new stuff eagerly and I know you can't give up the awesomeness you posess. Good luck to you in everything and for the love of everything that exists, make another album like Gather the Faithful. Long days and pleasant nights to you, fellow guitarist.
