BTW, if you're wondering why the lyrics might be a bit different from what I usually write, there is a reason: The guy singing is very young, I think 17y or so, so my traditional angsty pseudo-poetry wouldn't really cut it there, as it would not be very believable for him to sing that kind of shit, as it requires that you've actually lived through some of the stuff to pull it off. I think the song is pretty damn good though, even I couldn't totally ruin it:)
It's a good band and I wish them all the best. So folks, if you are Finnish show your support and vote for the guys when you get the chance later this month. A vote for them is also a vote for me, you know ;) I think the song becomes available in iTunes and Spotify on 11th of this month, so later you can show your support also by buying the goddamn song :)
I really don't understand why it says "Lost in the Woods" as a title there, since that was the name of the original demo with the original lyrics, but now it's called just "Lost"... Anyway, here's there first from me for this year, enjoy :) More to follow on February :)
Well written music, good lyrics but I don't really like the vocals, come at me haters :D On Eurovision I will propably vote for them as Poland will propably pick some crappy shitsong
ReplyDeleteWell, first it would have to win the Finnish qualifying, which I don't think it will, and that is a shame. But one has to be realistic about this, and I think some boring pop song will win.
DeleteWhat you need to Eurovision Song Contest, is a band with a girl singer, but with special physical and voice even more, as no serious resemble a man's voice. That revolutionary all.
DeleteHey Jani good for you, but of course "some boring pop song will win", becouse it´s IN today to play very boring R&B music, but BTW it`s very difficult singing style also and it`s very honourable too. :)
DeleteI liked it, heavy song, a little more commercial than what I'm used to hearing but I guess thats the point for an eurovision contest...Also liked the solo, kind of has a Jani signature there which is kinda (really) cool.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with this project or w/e you may call it.
Go Jani #1 idol
I have actually nothing more to do with the thing than the fact that I wrote the lyrics for the song, because they asked me to.
Ainakin itsellä nousi heti mieleen hivenen karmaiseviakin mielikuvia, varsinkin tuon alun perusteella.
The singer seems justin bieber, or how to spell it lol
ReplyDeleteThat kid has a beautiful voice. Guitar sounds pretty well too. I'm not Finnish but they have my virtual vote.
ReplyDeleteSo, I was on the right track, after all, thinking your new lyrics might be for this competition. UMK website gives us name Iivo Kaipainen, but obviously he's the guy behind the original demo version lyrics. I really like this one and will vote for them!

ReplyDeleteThe band is great, you're right! :) thanks for the discover!
ReplyDeleteThanks for share! Great year!
ReplyDeletewhen you write letters to others, they tell you what about to write??
ReplyDeleteIt would be awesome that suddenly you appear at eurovision while they are singing this song and you start playing the solo. PLEASE DO IT!
ReplyDeleteSo the music is not yours? Just the lyrics?

ReplyDeleteYeah, the drummer, Topias.
