Working hardly hard working

So, tonight I played some poker, then I watched Mr. Railio make his way into the final of The Voice of Finland (congrats by the way:)), and now I've been trying to do some actual work, or "work", however you define it, and all this whilst enjoying a refreshing beverage. Way to go me! :)

  1. You consider yourself a person who likes to be at home? On that picture reminds me that two days ago I was with my huge glass of red bull :)

  3. You have my wallpaper! I'm certain it is the same :D You should give us a Cribs-like-tour of your home for us, like "this is my kitchen, here I cook. This is my bathroom, here I shit" Them crazy fanchicks would probably love it. Probably even to death. Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing :D Oops, I think I may offended someone. Am I becoming an Offensive Man too... :)

    1. Nope, not gonna happen. I thought I could show my workstation, as it is somewhat relevant, but I'm not gonna start posting any "cribs" pics.

  4. how's the single coming? do you think you can share an actual screenshot of how the project looks on your DAW? :P just to see how much shit you usually deal with. But maybe it won't be as interesting to non-producers. Or should I say, "producers" :P

    3. It's actually very meat&potatoes device, doesn't do anything fancy, but it gets the job done.

    4. Well it may be basic to a musician like you, but sure I'd love to have one of those, considering that my devices when writing are pen&papers (actually some guitar pro when I'm in the right mood) :) matter of perspective I guess!

  12. Hey jani, will you release the single at CD?

  13. 60 tracks? (Don't know how to reply to your comment!)

What? Isn't that, like, insane? I'm trying to put together an EP and the biggest song I've done has about 9 tracks on it, almost all of which are guitars. What on earth are you making for us?

    1. I think it's pretty commonplace nowadays to have 100+ tracks, especially on metal songs. The sydänpuu song only has around 60. Drums, bass, guitars, synths+orchestrations, easily 60+ tracks. Still missing lead and backing vox, that'll add some still.

    2. If you think 60 tracks are insane, then what would you think about Wintersun's "Sons of winter and Stars" which has 1.672 tracks.
