Soon it ends...

I've been sober for over 2 weeks now, not a single drop of alcohol has made its way down my throat (I know that doesn't sound like much, but for me that's a considerable break already. I don't get drunk all the time, but I enjoy a drink or a few on a semi-regular basis :) ). But that all ends tomorrow, as tomorrow I'll head over to Helsinki, and for once I don't have any work booked. I'm just going there to meet some friends and have a good time.

I just came from running, had to drag my ass out of the door even though the weather is pretty bad, raining and stuff. Way to go me. Been also working on a composition for a few days now. It's sort of a poor man's poor man's Hans Zimmer-pastiche, but it sound pretty nice and works as practise for orchestration and shit. Besides, some of the parts are pretty cool so I'll probably take the piece apart at some point and recycle the good bits into actual songs, wouldn't be the first time :)

  2. Hans Zimmer-pastiche, sounds pretty epic to me. No shame in recycling good stuff into some other stuff, happens all the time. Would love to hear it though.

And so the "drinking session" draws near...dare I even think of its outcome?

  3. You´ll better not drink too much !! ... i mean, after two weeks of training, your body´s not going to take it very well

Btw...Last night i went to see Strato !! at groove in Buenos aires, was amazin´!! ... but i couldn´t see timo outside the show, he run into the ban... guess he was really tired... best luck next time, to me

  4. Running is a good way to enjoy the rain xD (I love raining, that's why xD) 2 weeks is a good bunch of time without alcohol, so congrats! keep going like that if you can (after Helsinki, of course... take care!) and the Hans Zimmer-pastiche... I would like to hear that when you finish the whole song.. I have a question, somebody did it before, but you didn't answer it xD what's your favorite guitar solo? and what's your favorite solo that you've written?

  5. I think you might be a tad underwhelmed, as I am no Hans Zimmer :) But maybe I'll upload a small clip of it at some point, just for shits and giggles if for nothing else.
