Reading the news...

So, I've come to a conclusion that reading news about conservative and religious politicians and their deeply profound views and statements about how life is and how it should be is a really effective way to ruin your morning:

"I think we just shouldn’t have abortion in this country" ...
Representative Todd Akin

Well, after reading his comments I'm more and more leaning towards the opinion that abortion should be legal until the fetus/baby/satan spawn is 25 years old, and after that it will directly change into euthanasia. I wish Todd's mother would've at least considered abortion 65 years ago...

Another jewel in the article is the clip of the 2012 candidate for Republican presidential election, Rick Santorum (who our friend Dave from couple of posts back supports), saying this:

"I believe and think that the right approach is to accept this horribly created, in the sense of rape, but nevertheless, in a very broken way, a gift of human life, and accept what God is giving to you."

Sooo, let me get this straight... You fucks really think that getting raped and then pregnant as a byproduct is, as a matter of fact, A GIFT FROM GOD??? Oh boy... Religious people, they would be so fucking funny, if they were not so fucking dangerous...

And I thought I was a misogynistic piece of shit...

  1. Totally agree with you. That is the sad reality for most of the countries in America.

Special powers to prevent pregnancy? What GOD is giving to you? A Rapist is a God? OMG...

Abortion should be legal in all the world. In Spain, with the new chosen politicians, abortion is illegal AGAIN. It was illegal, so turned to legal and now is ILLEGAL AGAIN. Not agree in any way.
If some youngsters had an accident or something, even if thei're well protected, or maybe the child has a terminal disease even when he's in utero, what?

It is more than respectable people who believe in their religion, but of course, without getting to extreme which makes you stay fucking out of the reason.

    Fuck...

  4. The guy is an inbred himself. I´m wondering what he will do about all the unwanted, neglected and abused "byproducts" when they grow up and land into the child protective services, juvenile and adult crime system. Speaking as a woman: to have or not to have an abortion seems a very hard decision, I think I´d rather have the baby and give it up for adoption. But I wouldn´t want to raise it myself, for I could never look at the child without remembering what the "father" did to me...

  5. Like Luis said, relegion isn't that bad, it can even have its goods, but it's when it's getting extremist that it sucks and it's dangerous.. It's the same for everything, it's extremisme the problem.. And the particular thing with religion it's mainly because some peoples knowns that people needs to believe in something and are using that for self gain.

  6. I think that Todd needs a 70% HCl enema because lobotomy won't help him at all.

  9. Pathetic. I can't believe there are other humans out there who agreed this and vote for this kind of people... :S

The job of a government is to provide and guarantee the rights of their citizens. And one of those rights it's the right to choose about our reproductive health. If somebody it's a victim of rape and get's pregnant, that child it's not certainly "a gift from god". (in fact, a child it's not "a gift from god", it's the result of two people having sex. This religious people keep trying to makes us believe that children are a magical thing that comes from heaven!)

In many different countries the politicians are talking of abortion... in some places the abortion it's only legal if the woman was raped, and it's on the first months of pregnancy (I think it's 12 or 15 weeks). The woman has to get a lawyer, start a legal demand, go to the court, explain everything to a judge, and if everything goes well and the judge considers it fits the requirements, he grants her the right to abortion. Most of the times all this procedure takes longer due to burocracy and when the woman finally gets to see the judge, it's been more than those 15 weeks, so all the procedure it's fucking useless... there are many examples of that. In fact, last night I was reading about a 10-year old girl who was rapped by her stepfather and gave birth to a baby boy, because the justice took too much time to help her.

The truth it's abortion exists, legal or illegal, in all the countries. A lot of women decide to abort everyday, and some of them die in clandestine abortion clinics. If abortion were legal and without all that burocracy shit, maybe they were less women dying everyday...

  10. Can I just say I hate living the USA? Being a liberal atheist in the conservative Christian state of Texas is extremely depressing. Try telling someone that "God" should be removed from the Pledge of Allegiance, that abortion should be legal, that alternatives to abstinence should be taught, that the death penalty is immoral and pointless, and that Creationism is an ideology that is as outdated as Windows 98...just 100 years ago, these claims would've made people attack my home with pitchforks and torches. But instead, in the modern time, I get humiliated, outcasted, ridiculed, and ostracized for stating my beliefs in the exact same manner that most Republicans do.

I wonder if I would get murdered if I dared putting a pro-evolution billboard in Texas...
