Becoming a part-time Lapland Man

Wow, that sounded dumb.... :) But yeah, I'll be basically living in Kemi part-time for the next year or so. Funny how things work out, I thought I had left that town for good :) Well, actually I have left it for good, as I mentioned I'm going to be there only some of the time.

"But why Jani, WHY??? Why would you do that to yourself?", I hear you ask.

And that is a totally valid, very well thought out question indeed. Well,  it's because I'm going to be studying songwriting/composition at the Conservatory Lappia for the next year. I've known I have been accepted in for two weeks already, but now I got the official results so I can say it out loud. Gonna be pretty interesting :)

  4. Hyvähyvä!! Mutta miksi et mennyt pop/jazz-konservatoriolle ?? Metropoliassa voi opiskella säveltäjäksi. Se on mun käsittääkseni arvostettu koulu. Niin ainakin rytmimusiikin puolella.

  5. Congrats sir! I dream myself of study in a place like that someday. Maybe in Vienna or Salisburg :P
(for instance, I thought for a moment you were moving there cause you were to become father... Maybe the (masked)solemnity of your tone made me think of it! =))) )

  15. If Jani Liimatainen HIMSELF can find some way to learn something new, I think we can all evaluate our lives.

Quick Question, Jani. What's your favourite guitar solo at the moment, and what's your favourite solo that you've written?
